Tulum is a destination with multiple activities to enjoy. Most have to do with sun, beach and sand. There are also cultural and historical destinations, such as the Mayan archeological zones; Go to a cenote to cool down for a while or do adventure activities.
Jungle Maya is a self-sustainable park, which, like us, is committed to the preservation of natural resources. It is located just 9 kilometers from the archaeological zone of Tulum. On the Federal highway Chetumal- Puerto Juarez km 240. You can arrive by collective transport, private car or purchase private transport when buying the tour.
This park is for adventurous people who want to do fun and exciting physical activities such as riding in an all-terrain vehicle, rappelling, zip lines, snorkeling and more.
To enter the Tulum jungle, you have to get on a bus without windows and huge tires that allow you to walk along the dirt road that you have to go through to get to the other activities.
In the middle of the jungle, you can practice rappelling to descend to the Yaxmuul cenote, one of the 170 cenotes that are part of the Sac-Actun System, the longest underground river in the world, with 347 kilometers in length. In this cenote, you will see geological formations such as stalactites and stalagmites everywhere.
Another great feature of the Maya Jungle Tour, is to witness a Mayan ceremony taught by a shaman, who blesses and harmonizes you with a Mayan protection.
Zipline! Do not miss the opportunity to jump over the green grasses of the Tulum jungle several meters high to appreciate the view and feel like you are flying.
There are different zip lines, although our favorite is the one that lands in the Nohoch Nah Chiich cenote (the main entrance to the Sac-Actun system), since you can cool down and then go snorkeling in this cavern.
This self-sustainable adventure park invites you to eat at its restaurant once you finish the activities. You can enjoy the buffet of snacks and typical food of the region.
