XCARET SAILING: A New Way of Exploring Isla Mujeres and the Beauty of the Caribbean Sea

Always in the news, Grupo Xcaret is now cruising the Caribbean Sea. Last December 27th, It launched its latest project, Xcaret Xailing, which provides ferry service from Cancún to Isla Mujeres at an investment of US$ 50 million, generating 265 direct and indirect jobs and signaling its debut in the nautical services sector.

The company, which is 100% Mexican, will be operating two brand-new ferries, Xcaret and Xel-Há, each boasting 650 passengers and specialized, fully certified crews.

Offering a spectacular experience even before boarding, the ferries leave from the Isla Mujeres by Xcaret dock –strategically located at Km. 4.5 of Cancún’s Hotel Zone—which features parking, a restaurant, a store, Wi Fi and the iconic Cancun Scenic Tower, all of which will be available for free to persons purchasing a round-trip ferry ticket at the tourist rate: this is a perfect opportunity to check out Cancún’s unique beauty from a height of 80 meters!

Prices are competitive and the cost of a round-trip ticket for tourists, including tax, is 500 pesos, with a special price of 250 pesos for Quintana Roo residents showing a valid ID. Special rates available for children and senior citizens, along with the exclusive benefits on hand at the Isla Mujeres by Xcaret dock, with daily departures every hour, starting at 9 a.m. from Cancún, with the last departure from Isla Mujeres at 8 p.m.
